About merino wool
Properties
Merino wool is nature's own performance fabric. With its unique ability to breathe and regulate temperature, merino wool provides comfortable warmth all year round. The material insulates effectively when it's cold and draws away excess heat when it's warm, so your dog always stays at a comfortable temperature.
A wool dog bed in the car gives your dog a cosy, temperature-regulating place to rest, whatever the season. You can also be sure your dog won't overheat in a wool dog coat, even on warm days. For those of us who spend time outdoors in all weathers, wool's ability to keep you warm even when damp is an invaluable quality.
Merino wool is also naturally dirt- and odour-resistant, which keeps the material fresh for longer. Wool can simply be aired instead of washed, which is not only better for the environment but also makes it very easy to care for.
Production
All our wool is produced in Europe and follows European law on animal welfare and production. Among other things, this means the wool in HUNDLANDS products is mulesing-free.
Certification
The wool used in our dog coats and jackets is Eco5 certified, which confirms that:
- The product is safe to use
